what is reiki for animals?

reiki for animals

Reiki promotes well-being, recovery, eases pain and improves quality of life.Reiki is a gentle, noninvasive, energy healing system – ideal for animals!

what is reiki?

The name Reiki, pronounced ”Ray-key”, comes from the Japanese words ”rei” meaning spirit, and ”ki” meaning energy. Translated this means ”universal life energy”. As a Reiki Practitioner I work with this healing system on animals and their owners by simply place my hands on different parts of the body and Reiki flows automatically to the areas of need.
Re-balancing an animal’s energy system for the benefit of their soul, body and spirit and also strengthens the connection between animal and human. Sometimes, an animal will be mirroring emotional pain in the owner.

animals enjoy reiki

For healthy animals, Reiki enhances relaxation and maintains health and well-being. It also aids sleep and contentment.

positive effects

For Sick Animals, Reiki may be given for any illness or injury as a safe complement to traditional veterinary care. It can reduce anxiety, pain, depression, and also the side effects of necessary medicine. Reiki can also improve the effectiveness of other therapies.
For Dying Animals – Reiki is a powerful yet gentle way to provide comfort, pain relief and helps to ease the transition into spirit.
Reiki Healing addresses emotional and behavioural needs, physical illnesses and injuries.

treatment

Animals absorb Reiki energy a lot easier than humans. They are much more in tune with the Universe and the energies that surround them than humans. This means that a reiki session with an animal is often shorter than for a person.
To help the animal feel safe and relaxed I can give the reiki treatment in the comfort of your home. An animal often moves away during a treatment so I remain accessible so they can come back for more when they are ready.

distant reiki treatments

Distant Healing is very effective, offers the same benefits and can be preferable to hands-on treatment. Sometimes an animal may live too far away or there is an emergency situation. Combining hands-on treatments with distant treatments makes receiving reiki more economical for those on a budget or with a busy schedule. Distant Reiki can also be very effective for animals that are fearful or aggressive.
Reiki works along side Western medicine. Please continue to consult your veterinarian.
